Canes’ win streak snapped

Miami fell to Clemson, 7-6, on Friday night at Clemson. The loss broke a six-game winning streaker the Canes.
The Tigers broke out the power bats, blasting three home runs in the game. With the score tied in the seven inning, Clemson’s Tryston McCladdle clubbed a homer to seal the game.
Miami (20–7, 3-5 ACC) also brought their bats. Alex Sosa and Alonzo Alvarez each delivered two doubles and drove in a run, but Clemson’s power ruled the day.
Miami took the lead in the fourth inning, 4-2, with three runs behind the hitting of Alvarez, Sheahan, and Dubovik. Clemson tied the game in the fourth with two runs in the bottom of the inning. McCladdie's two-run homer gave Clemson a 6-4 lead. Sosa doubled in a run in the seventh to tie the game before McCladdle’s game-winning home run.
On the mound, Miami starter Rob Evans allowed four earned runs in five innings. TJ Coats (4-1) took the loss.
