Just about every college sports fan in America agrees that college athletics is broken.
IF I was commissioner, how would I solve all the problems surrounding the NCAA?
So far, I, as commissioner, have reorganized college athletics into eight conferences, each with ten schools. We have broken down the new PACIFIC, WEST, CENTRAL, SOUTHWEST and SOUTH Divisions. Today we continue our series with the introduction of another conference in the reconstruction of Division I of the NCAA.
STEP TEN: SOUTHEAST DIVISION
I continue our strategic reconstruction with another common sense move, the formation of the SOUTHEAST DIVISION.
Tennessee
South Carolina
Georgia
Florida
Alabama
Auburn
Ole Miss
Mississippi State
LSU
Arkansas
Again, I focused on tradition and regionalization. Yes, this division is made up of the old SEC.
Like the other new divisions, the Southeast Division will be managed by a senior vice president (SVP) reporting directly to ME, the CEO. The SVP will represent the athletic directors (10) of the member schools and sit on the Executive Council.
The Southeast Division will be made up of schools from the southeast part of our country, stretching from Tennessee down to Florida and west to Arkansas.
BOTTOM LINE:
Change occurs only when the pain to stay the same exceeds the pain to change.
In part eight of our series, we will breakdown another new division, the COASTAL DIVISION.
GO CANES!
