Are you tired of poll bias toward big brand programs and conferences? Are you tired of “voters” who don’t even watch the games?
We are!
For years, college football fans have questioned the validity of the AP and Coaches polls. Never more so than this year, as the networks spin their narratives in order to promote their sponsored conferences and big name brands.
The 2025 college football season has been wrought with chaos as preseason favorites continue to get knocked off. It appears many of the national brands are not as good as they were projected in the preseason. The AP Poll projected Texas and Penn State as preseason #1 and #2 teams, with Clemson sitting at #4, Notre Dame at #6 and Michigan at #14. By mid-season the Nittany Lions, Tigers and Wolverines are not even in the Top 25? Notre Dame has fallen to #13. Texas is fighting for their life to stay in the Top 25 at #21.
The “experts” fumbled the ball!
College football fans have been left scratching their heads. “What happened to my team? After all, we’re a blue blood program and we are entitled to be among the best in the country!”
Well, we decided to evaluate college teams by actually watching them play. That’s novel! But when you examine the prime metrics for success, you find much different results. So, we did our own analysis of the college football landscape.
The CaneReports introduces “FAN25,” the first and only grassroots college football ranking system. Here our mid-season college football ranking.
