Miami jumped out quickly to defeat Florida Atlantic, 10-6, at Light Field on Wednesday.
The victory improved the Canes mid-week record this season to 7-0.
Miami (19-6) jumped out to an early 5-0 lead behind a four-run second inning. The Canes were led at the plate by Alex Sosa and Dylan Dubovik. Each drove in two runs in the victory.
On the mound, Jake Dorn got his first start and tossed two scoreless innings. Reliever T.J. Coats (4-0) got the win with two scoreless innings for the Canes.
Miami goes on the road to take on Clemson (18-8, 1-5 ACC). First pitch is set for 7:00 p.m. with coverage on ACCN.
