Mario Cristobal and his staff are one of the best recruiting teams in America. Since arriving at Miami, they have consistently landed top recruiting classes.
With the Canes’ continued success on field, there is no reason to not expect Miami to land another blue-chip class in 2027.
CaneReports’ volunteer staff recently began an early projection of what the Miami 2027 class might look like by signing day in December.
Let’s take another very early swing at a potential Miami’s 2027 class.
Quarterback: (need 1)
Davin Davidson or Will Mencl or Israel Abrams.
Running Back: (need 2)
Myson Johnson-Cook
Ty Keys

Ah’Mari Stevens (committed)
Monshun Sales
Kesean Bowman
Jaden Upshaw
Tight End: (need 1-2)
Anthony Cartwright or Malik Howard
Demarcus Deroche (committed)
Offensive Tackle: (need 2)

Noah Glover
Corner Back: (need 2)

Sherrod Gourdine
Safety: (need 2)
Jaylyn Jones (committed)
KJ Caldwell
Honor Fa'alave-Johnson
BOTTOM LINE:
The above class numbers 26 prospects. We expect additional prospects to emerge over this year. We also don’t expect the Canes to land all of the above prospects but will be in the mix for all of them.
The above class would score 319.50. In 2026, that would be good for #1. In 2025…#1. In 2024…#1. In 2023… #1. It's still very early in the recruiting cycle. As we progress down the road, it will evolve to a more REALISTIC look at the class (mid-summer) and finally to a strong MOCK projection by the fall.
It will be interesting to see if Miami’s on-field success translates to top five recruiting class.
GO CANES!
