Nagurski Defensive Player of the Week… Jakobe Thomas

Miami safety Jakobe Thomas was named the Bronko Nagurski National Defensive Player of the Week, announced Tuesday.

Jacob had a standout performance in the Canes’ 28-22 win over #18 Florida State on Saturday night in Tallahassee. He was a game changer, recording five solo tackles, one sack, one interception, one forced fumble and two pass breakups in the victory .

It was Jacob’s second weekly award this week. On Monday, he was named the ACC Defensive Back of the Week following his dominant performance at Doak Campbell Stadium.
